Product Overview

What is Avarante?

Stamiz 10mg tablets are a treatment for erectile dysfunction, which is also known as impotence or ED.

Using an ingredient called tadalafil, this medication helps you to get and maintain an erection when you’re sexually stimulated. You can take these tablets any time, unlike other erectile dysfunction treatments, so you won’t have to worry about interrupting intimate moments to make sure you’ve taken your medication.

If you’re someone who wants to have sex a few times a week or more but is struggling with erectile dysfunction, Stamiz could be just what you need to keep your sex life working as it should.

Is Avarante right for me?

This treatment may be right for you as long as you are not taking any medicines that may interact with tadalafil, or suffer from any health conditions that may affect its suitability.

Talk to your doctor about alternative treatments and do not take this medicine if any of the following applies to you:

If you are allergic or sensitive to tadalafil or any of the other ingredients listed on the pack.
If you are taking any medicines known as nitrates (including “poppers”).
If you are currently taking any medicine (guanylate cyclase stimulators, such as riociguat) to treat high blood pressure in the lungs.
If you are currently taking ritonavir or other medicines to treat HIV.
If you have ever had a loss of vision due to optic nerve damage or inherited eye disease, such as retinitis pigmentosa.
If you have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
If you have problems with your liver, heart, or blood vessels, or if you’ve been advised to avoid sexual activity for health reasons.
If you have a deformity of your penis, such as Peyronie’s Disease.
If you have ever had an erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism), or have a condition that may cause this, such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma.
If you are taking other treatments for erectile dysfunction.
If you have recently had major pelvic surgery or prostate surgery involving nerve damage.
If you are under 18 years of age.
If you are a woman.

You should only use this treatment if you suffer from erection problems and have been assessed as suitable for sexual activity by your doctor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What dose of tadalafil will I need?

The usual starting dose of tadalafil for erectile dysfunction is 10mg a day.

This is the dose available in the over-the-counter version of Cialis.

However, a prescriber may decide that a different dose of Cialis would be more suitable for you, so don’t be surprised if you find that your dose is slightly stronger or weaker than that.

Can I drink alcohol while taking tadalafil?

You should avoid drinking alcohol while you’re taking tadalafil or have erectile dysfunction issues in general.

Alcohol can lower your blood pressure, making it more difficult for you to get an erection, which is why many men find that they suffer from ED after drinking.

Naturally, this change in your blood pressure can reduce the effect of this medication, so you can still find it difficult to become and stay erect after drinking, even while you’re taking tadalafil.

Excessive drinking can also increase the chances of you feeling dizzy when you stand up while taking these tablets.

How do you take tadalafil tablets?

Take one tadalafil tablet at least 30 minutes before you plan on having sex.

This is the same no matter which dose of tadalafil you’re taking.

What are the side effects of tadalafil?

Common side effects you may experience when taking tadalafil include:

Headaches
Back pain
Muscle aches
Pain in your arms or legs
Flushing in your face
Congestion (a blocked nose)
Indigestion
For a complete list of side effects, please refer to the patient information leaflet included with your medication.

If you experience any side effects not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Can tadalafil be used to treat anything else?

Tadalafil tablets can be used to treat a condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is common in men as they get older.

When you have this condition, it means that your prostate gets bigger as you get older, which can make it more difficult for you to pee.

Tadalafil improves blood flow in your prostate, just like it does in your penis, helping it to relax and making it easier for you to pee.

Can I drive after taking tadalafil?

Tadalafil can sometimes cause dizziness after you’ve taken it.

If this happens to you, or you experience any other side effects which could affect your ability to drive, do not attempt to drive or use tools or machinery until you are absolutely sure that you are safe to do so.

What is the difference between tadalafil and sildenafil (Viagra)?

Sildenafil is the active ingredient in the popular erectile dysfunction treatment, Viagra, and many men use it to manage their condition.

The biggest difference between sildenafil and the tadalafil in this product is that you will need to know when you’re planning on having sex when you’re taking sildenafil, as you need to take your tablet around an hour before you get down to business.

This can sometimes ruin the mood if you’re the more spontaneous type and could cause problems if you’re out and about and forget to bring a tablet with you for when the mood strikes.

On the other hand, tadalafil is taken once a day, at the same time every day, and will work to help you get an erection at any time, day or night.

However, there is one more thing to consider, and that is how you will get hold of your treatment.

Tadalafil tablets need a prescription from a medical professional before you can get them, whereas sildenafil can be bought over the counter after a quick chat with a pharmacist.

If you’re unsure which would be best for you, we recommend talking it over with your doctor, they can help to point you in the right direction.
