Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules are designed to help relieve the symptoms of sinusitis.
Is Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules right for me?
Like all medicines, Sudafed Sinus Max Strength may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include:
Allergic reactions e.g. skin rash
Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhoea
Headaches
Dizziness
Heart palpitations
High blood pressure
Glaucoma
Problems when passing urine
If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
Warnings
Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take these capsules if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if:
You have high blood pressure
You have severe heart disease or circulatory problems
You have an overactive thyroid
You have a history of stomach ulcers
You have an enlarged prostate
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if:
You suffer from kidney or liver problems, including alcohol liver disease or have alcohol dependence
You have diabetes
You have a circulatory disorder such as Raynaud’s phenomenon
Using/taking other medicines
If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before taking this product.
You should tell a healthcare provider if you are taking the following medicines:
Medicines to treat high cholesterol levels e.g. cholestyramine
Medicines to control feeling or being sick e.g. metoclopramide, domperidone
Anticoagulants to thin the blood e.g. warfarin
Medication for epilepsy or to help you sleep e.g. barbiturates such as phenobarbitone
Medication to treat migraines e.g. ergotamine, methysergide
Medication to lower blood pressure or treat heart and circulatory problems such as beta-blockers or vasodilators
Decongestant medication e.g. ephedrine, xylometazoline
Flucloxacillin
Age restrictions
This product is not suitable for children under 16 years old.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine.
Alcohol
Do not drink alcohol whilst you are taking this product.
Driving and operating machinery
This product might cause you to feel dizzy. If you are affected do not drive or operate machinery until you feel safe to do so.
