What is OraQuick HIV Self Test?

OraQuick HIV Self-Test is the most technically advanced HIV self-test available. It provides you with an incredibly accurate result within minutes.

The test is easy to do, simple, and pain-free. There are no blood tests, labs, or questions asked.

OraQuick HIV Self-Test can detect antibodies to both HIV-1 and HIV-2. The test kit includes the OraQuick HIV Self-Test Device, a tube containing buffer solution, a test strand, instructions and a disposal bag.

Is OraQuick HIV Self Test right for me?

You can use this test from 4 weeks after your most recent exposure. However, you should only rely on a negative result 12 weeks after your most recent exposure.

By 4 weeks, you could have made detectable antibodies; by week 6, 95% of people will have made them. However, some people only produce antibodies later. By week 12, 99% of people will have made antibodies.

If you test within the first 12 weeks and get a negative result, you should redo the test after 12 weeks. A positive result is always positive, regardless of the time period.
