Product Overview

What is Gengigel Gingival Gel?

Gengigel is a powerful gel that treats oral conditions such as gingivitis, gum disease, and mouth ulcers. It helps to protect your gums, preventing bleeding and easing discomfort in your mouth as your gums heal.

Is Gengigel Gingival Gel right for me?

Is Gengigel suitable for someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?
Gengigel is safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using any medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding, to be sure that the product is safe for both you and your baby.

Can it be used with other medication?
Gengigel should not be used with some other medications as they can interact, causing unwanted effects or making your medication less effective. Gengigel should not be used at the same time as products that contain chlorhexidine (e.g. Corsodyl mouthwash), as chlorhexidine will stop this product from working. If you are using any other medications, including those bought without prescription, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product to make sure that the two will not interact.

Can I eat after using this product?
Gengigel stays on the gum for around 30 minutes after application, so you should not eat or drink until at least 30 minutes after using this product. If you want to use this product to ease discomfort when you eat, make sure to plan to apply this product at least 30 minutes before meal times.

When should Gengigel not be used?
Gengigel gel is not suitable for use by children under the age of 3. Do not use this product if you are allergic to sodium hyaluronate or any of the other listed ingredients.

Are there any side effects?
There are currently no known side effects to Gengigel gel when it is used as recommended, however, all medications can have side effects. If you do experience any side effects while using this product, including those of an allergic reaction, stop use and speak to your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible. For more information about reporting the side effects of medication, please see the MHRA’s Yellow Card Scheme.
