What is Evana Heavy Period Relief?
Evana Heavy Period Relief helps to break the cycle of heavy, disruptive periods. The medication can reduce heavy bleeding by up to 60%.
Is Evana Heavy Period Relief right for me?
Like all medicines, Evana Heavy Period Relief may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include:
Nausea
Vomiting
Diarrhoea
If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
Stop taking this medicine immediately and seek emergency medical treatment right away if you experience any of the following side effects:
Pain or a heavy feeling in your chest
Unusual pain or swelling in your arms or legs
Sudden shortness of breath
Fainting
Coughing up blood
Problems with your eyesight
Bleeding in the eye or a loss of vision
Warnings
Evana Heavy Period Relief may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if:
You have kidney problems
You have or have ever had a blood clot in your legs or lungs
Anyone in your family has ever suffered from blood clots in their blood vessels
You have blood in your urine between periods
Your periods are irregular
You have seizures
You have disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), a disease where your blood starts to clot
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if:
You are over 45 years old
You are diabetic
You are obese
You have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Your mother, grandmother, aunt or sister has or has ever had endometrial cancer
You have recently noticed a change in your bleeding pattern
You have abnormal bleeding between your periods
You bleed after sexual intercourse
You have pain after sexual intercourse
You have pain before the start of your period (premenstrual pain)
You have pelvic pain
You thought you had gone through menopause but are now bleeding again
Using/taking other medicines
If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before taking Evana Heavy Period Relief.
You must tell your healthcare provider if you are taking the following medication:
Oral contraception
Fibrinolytic drugs e.g. streptokinase
Tamoxifen (used to treat breast cancer)
Oestrogen, found in some oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
Age restrictions
This product is not suitable for anyone under 18 years old.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Do not take Evana Heavy Period Relief if you are pregnant. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine.
Important information
Consult your doctor before use if you are taking any other medicines or if you have a health condition not mentioned in the patient information leaflet.
Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
May cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how your body reacts to this treatment.
Do not take more than one tablet in any 24 hours.
This medicine must not be taken by women.
