What is Daktarin Gold (Ketoconazole) 2% Cream?

Daktarin Gold (Ketoconazole) 2% Cream is a treatment used for athlete’s foot, an inflamed sweat rash or jock itch.

Is Daktarin Gold (Ketoconazole) 2% Cream right for me?

Like all medicines, Daktarin Gold (Ketoconazole) may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects may include:

Itchiness
Redness
Burning sensation

Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.

Warnings
Daktarin Gold (Ketoconazole) 2% Cream may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Using/taking other medicines
If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before using this product.

Talk to your healthcare provider if you have recently used a cream, lotion, or ointment containing a corticosteroid on your skin.

Age restrictions
This product is not suitable for anyone under 18 years old.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
You can use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are breastfeeding, do not apply it directly to your breasts. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using any new medicine.
