What is Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant?

Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant capsules are a treatment for allergy symptoms that can also help to clear a blocked or runny nose. If you find that congestion is a regular problem for you during hay fever season or after you’ve come into contact with pet fur or dust mites, this treatment can help to clear your airways while managing your other allergy symptoms. Benadryl Plus can be taken by adults and children over the age of 12, ideal for when your allergies are making you uncomfortable and you need a reliable way to clear that blocked nose and reduce pressure in your sinuses.

Does Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant have any side effects?
Like all medications, Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant capsules can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. If you experience any of the following side effects you should stop use and seek immediate medical assistance:

Sudden fever, reddening of the skin, many small pustules
Severe headache, feeling sick, being sick, confusion, fits, visual disturbances
Allergic reactions, e.g. skin rashes, hives, severe blistering or peeling of the skin, itching
Hallucinations, paranoid delusions
Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing
Inflammation of the colon, causing symptoms such as sudden abdominal pain or rectal bleeding
A fast or irregular heartbeat or palpitations
Restlessness or sleep disturbances
Trouble peeing, especially in men with prostate problems

Other common side effects of this product include:

Headache, drowsiness
Difficulty sleeping, nervousness, dizziness
Dry mouth, geeling sick

When should this product not be used?
Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant capsules are not suitable for children under the age of 12 or adults over the age of 65. Do not use this product if you are allergic to pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, acrivastine, the antihistamine triprolidine, or any of the other listed ingredients. Do not take this product if you have:

High blood pressure or heart disease
Diabetes
Phaeochromocytoma, a rare tumour which affects your heart rate or blood pressure
Glaucoma
An overactive thyroid gland
Severe kidney problems

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you have:

Kidney or liver problems
A thyroid disorder
Prostate problems
Alcohol dependence
Blocked arteries or veins
Emphysema, chronic bronchitis, acute or chronic bronchial asthma
