Product Overview
What is Benadryl Allergy Relief?
Benadryl Allergy Relief capsules are a treatment for allergy and hay fever symptoms. They can help to prevent symptoms like sneezing, watery itchy eyes, and a blocked or runny nose. If you’re suffering with irritating allergy symptoms, especially over the spring and summer months, Benadryl could be the perfect way for you to relieve and prevent those symptoms.
Is Benadryl Allergy Relief right for me?
Can I take this product if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Benadryl. Some medications may not be ideal for you or your baby at these times and a medical professional may wish to recommend another form of allergy relief for you until you’ve finished breastfeeding.
Will this antihistamine make me drowsy?
The acrivastine in Benadryl Allergy Relief can make you feel drowsy or dizzy after you’ve taken this product. If this happens to you, you should not attempt to drive or use any tools or machinery until the effects have passed and you’re sure that you’re safe to do so.
Can I take acrivastine if I’m taking other medication?
If you’re taking any other medication you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Benadryl. This especially applies if you’re already taking:
Sedatives or tranquillisers, which are used for anxiety or sleep disorders
Ketoconazole, an antifungal medication which is used for fungal infections
Erythromycin, an antibiotic used for bacterial infections
Is there anything I can’t eat or drink while taking this product?
You should not drink grapefruit juice while taking Benadryl Allergy Relief. It can affect how the medication is absorbed into your system and how it works. Also, you should avoid drinking alcohol while taking this or any other antihistamine. Alcohol can make you more likely to experience the side effects of this medication, especially drowsiness.
When should this product not be used?
Benadryl Allergy Relief is not suitable for children under the age of 12 or people over the age of 65. Do not use this product if you are allergic to activastine, triprolidine, or any of the other listed ingredients. Do not use this product if you have severe kidney disease. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you have:
