The two other active ingredients, cetylpyridinium chloride and chlorocresol, kill the bacteria in the mouth.

You should also not use this gel if you have porphyria, a disease which causes stomach pain, constipation, changes in the colour of urine, skin rashes and disturbed behaviour.
Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this Anbesol Gel?
If you are pregnant, then you should contact your doctor before using. Anbesol Gel is fine to use if you are breastfeeding.
Can I use this gel if I am taking other medication?
