What is Allevia Hives?

Allevia Hives tablets contain the active ingredient fexofenadine hydrochloride, a non-drowsy antihistamine. This medicine is designed to help relieve the symptoms of allergic skin reactions, such as chronic idiopathic urticaria. These symptoms typically include red, raised and itchy patches on the skin, commonly known as hives or nettle rash.

Is Allevia Hives right for me?

Like all medicines, Allevia Hives may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people) include:

Headache
Drowsiness
Dizziness
Nausea

Warnings
Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to fexofenadine or any of the other listed ingredients. This medicine contains less than 23mg of sodium per tablet.
Tell your prescriber if you are taking or have taken any other medicines.
Do not give these tablets to a child under 12 years old.
Do not take Allevia Hives if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor.
Allevia Hives may make you feel drowsy or dizzy; do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.
